1. All entrants and their guests must be aged 18 years or over and residents of the UK. Entries must not be made through agents or third parties. Any such entries will be deemed void.

2. The prize is a pair of balcony tickets for the Mercury Prize Awards Show at the Roundhouse on Wednesday 29 October 2014. The prize also includes:

a. Two standard class advance return rail tickets to London from a single British mainland rail station.
b. Accommodation in one room (Chambers Junior Suite) for a single night at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel on Wednesday 29 October 2014.
c. Lunch for two in the Booking Office at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel on Wednesday 29 October 2014 or Thursday 30 October 2014.
d. Bottle of Champagne on arrival at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel.
e. Use of St. Pancras Spa at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel on Wednesday 29 October.

The prize is not transferable and cannot not be sold or passed on to any third party. There is no cash alternative to the prize stated. The organisers shall not be responsible for failure to provide the prize for any reason beyond their control.

3. Entry to the prize draw is via the Barclaycard Mercury Prize Competitions website - http://www.mercuryprize.com/competitions

4. Entrants must comply with all terms and conditions of the competition.

5. One entry per person. Entrants must provide their e-mail address in order to be entered into the prize draw.

6. The closing date for entries is midday on Monday 13 October 2014. All qualifying entrants who enter before 12.00pm GMT on Monday 13 October 2014 will be placed in a free prize draw to win a pair of balcony tickets for the Mercury Prize Awards Show at the Roundhouse on Wednesday 29 October 2014 and the VIP package outlined in point 2.

7. Entry is free. No purchase necessary. Mercury Music Prize is not responsible for network or communication failures of any kind or for entries that are incomplete. Entries that are incomplete or ineligible will be void.

8. Mercury Music Prize reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and check their identity. The winner may be required to transfer personal data between themselves and the Mercury Music Prize, such as their address and date of birth. The data shall be treated as strictly confidential and will only be used in communications directly linked to this prize draw. The winner and winner's guest must be over 18 years of age at the time of entry and may be subject to a search on arrival at the event.

9. In the event of any fault, mistake, misunderstanding or dispute concerning the operation of any part of the prize draw, the decision of Mercury Music Prize shall be final.

10. In the event that the winner does not, or is unable to comply with, and meet these rules, Mercury Music Prize shall be entitled at its discretion to disqualify the winner, without any further liability to the winner.
