Asda have these shower curtains down to £2 from £8,instore & online

Official MoneySavingExpert insert: We contacted Asda and it told us this offer was ongoing and the item is the same price in-store as online. It also said stock levels are good, but didn't give an exact figure.

these textile curtains are perfect for protecting your goods from the rain at car boot sales, as well as putting over your carpet during water changes if you are a tropical fish fan like my son. well worth £2!

Hmm, These things must clog up landfill for hundreds if not thousands of years. I'm not suggesting a shower curtain for life (though there's no reason why a thick piece of plastic should ever wear out and should really be designed to be far easier to clean), but I do consider it extremely wasteful to replace these things every few weeks as some folk probably do.
I try to clean mine as best I can and probably replace when the mould gets too hard to remove after a year or two. Would prefer to have a glass screen though. (rented accom, so can't fit one).
