Morrison's 50p veg offers (until 8th Sept).

Just seen an ad on tv promoting Morries 50p veg offers.
Some of the pack sizes seem to have decreased (carrots and onions), but still good value.
Top end of my price-band for a swede, just hope they are a decent size.

Decreased?
The carrots last week were £1 for KG bag or 90p KG loose. Or 65p for 500g bag.
The onions were £1 800g bag and the button mushrooms were 65p 125g.0 -
I see Morrisons are doing the usual supermarket trick of reducing packet size whilst trumpeting 'low' prices.
The 125g pack of mushrooms is pathetic when compared to Aldi charging 95p for 400g and Asda charging £1 also for 400g. Indeed I'm pretty sure the Co-op are cheaper than Morrisons.
Now I know some bright spark is going to post something along the lines of 'I'm single and these are the perfect size for me' but Sainsbury's sell loose mushrooms for £2.80 per kg. which equates to 35p for 125g.0 -
Like most things, the smaller the pack size the more expensive the item is.
I shop in Morrisons almost every day and I know these packs of mushrooms are usually 65p each, so 50p is a price reduction.
Asda do sell a 400g pack for £1 but they also sell a 250g pack for 79p.
So, based on those two prices and pack size, you get your calculator out and work out how much they would charge for a 125g pack.0 -
