Forgot to put tuna in tuna pasta bake and nobody noticed!

Accidental moneysaving - I only realised that I had missed out the tuna from the tuna-pasta-bake (you know, the condensed mushroom soup version) after I had it under the grill to crip up the top! I popped the tin back in the cupboard and didn't mention it.
Now, my family are not backwards in giving their opinions on my cooking - good and bad, but none of them noticed (or mentioned) the lack of tuna.
They all have tuna mayo sandwhiches for packed lunches today!
It's weird, but when I was eating the pasta bake, I could almost convince myself the tuna was there even though I knew it wasn't - like a mind over matter thing.
It made me wonder what other key ingredients I could do without!

^Chicken curry without the chicken... my kids much prefer the curry mixed up with their rice, I'm sure they wouldn't even notice if I forgot the chicken!
Great idea but you do have to make sure that you are including enough protein in the meal and not just bulking up with carbs and veggies.0 -
See I would notice, but then I add two tins of tuna to a pasta bake as I like to be able to taste it enough! My daughter likes her curry mixed through her rice too, but she goes straight for the chicken first - the rice is an after thought and most of the its not finished hah.0
