Why are people promoting Low Carb Diets??

Why?
Listen, about a year ago i used to ride my bicycle about 45/50 miles 3 times a week, to my folks former place and back.
All i ate was Brown Rice, Mixed vegetables, Tuna, Black Pepper, Onions, Real Jalapenos and Branston Jalapeno Sauce.
I would fill up a medium sized saucepan, mix it all up and then eat throughout the day.
I would have a handful of porridge in the morning (with water) and Black Treacle.
Then nothing but fruit throughout the day.
Seriously, i lost about 3 stone in 4 months, im not even bloody joking, this actually happened. So spare me all this NONSENSE BS about low carb diets!
One other thing, when i was doing these high intensity long distance rides i never once worried about how much rice i was eating. Like i said, i'd fill the pan, it was alot of rice, then, eat till full and box it up and eat throughout the day.
Now, i know that porridge and rice are starchy complex carbs, but they damn well worked. There is NO WAY (looking back) that id be able to complete those rides 3x a week without carbs, no way. And the only protein was from tuna.
Plus i drank alot of water and green tea.
However, what i do remember is that i lost muscle, BUT, back then i was not strength training, only cycling because i didnt have weights and i was too knackered after cycling.
But you people about carbs need to shutup! Sorry for being abusive, but its annoying!!!!
I LOST TONS OF WEIGHT IN A SHORT TIME WITH EATING MAINLY CARBS, MAINLY CARBS.
So, how do you think i feel when i see people promoting low or NO carb diets?????
My body is anatomically the same as yours and im not a spammer looking to promote something, im just telling you a REAL story, a REAL thing that happened for me when i was working out.
I didnt sit there like you lot looking online for answers because youre all too damn lazy to go and workout.
I did 50 miles high intensity on a bicycle, three times a week and lost so much damn weight it was scary, but i was healthy.
So take it from me...
Ride 150 miles a week at a serious pace, eat what i ate, wait four months and then come back and thank me.

I doubt many of us really care how you feel in this respect. Different things work for different people. Not difficult to understand?0 -

You're a human like me, but you're too lazy to ride the way i rode. So you'll never experience the weight loss i experienced from eating mainly carbs.
That's what really annoys you, stop looking for a 'quick fix'0 -

All those carbs seem to have affected your mental health and attitude. You probably should get seen.
As Dogger says, different things work for different people...and lucky you having a body that allows you to cycle numerous miles a day...if I could even do that, I would probably need to spend a week in bed. I also have a condition that meansy body is not anatomically the same as yours. Because if you were me, a high carb diet would mean you would gain weight round your middle, you would also probably have skin tags due to insulin resistance.
In answer to your original question, people recommend low carb diets because they actually work. And I don't think ANYONE has ever TOLD someone else they must follow a low carb diet - they have just shared their story, like you. Except, from what i've read, they've done it politely, unlike you!0 -

Well, if you have a 'condition', then, i dont expect you to ride 150 miles a week.
This is for the people who can, but cant. Because theyre too lazy.
So why you are commenting here and slandering me is disappointing.0 -
edit - - I did apologise in my original post about my anger, but i was a little emotive..
But i still feel strongly about this, stop bashing carbs people, they are not the enemy.
Hope you all have a good weekend.0 -

Unfortunately if you include emotive language and insults in your posts the useful, intelligent parts of your message will get lost and be ignored by most.
FRankly I do lo-carb and cycle at least 100 miles a week: I love it, it loses 1kg at least every week and it works for me.
I am also intelligent enough to know it won't work for everyone.Unless specifically stated all posts by me are my own considered opinion.
If you don't like my opinion feel free to respond with your own.0 -
