Pace Forward Letter

I have today come home from work and opened a letter from Pace Forward. I have read a few threads in relation to this but i differ from those as i do not have any debt. Why would i get letters from a debt collector if there is no debt to collect. I am going to ignore this letter as it is just an address confirmation letter, and see what else turns up. What puzzles me more is that they have the same Logo and address as Tessera, but the tel number under there address does not match the one they are asking me to ring on the letter. Just seems a bit odd to me, and now has the other half understandably worried.
Anybody in a similar position, or have any advice ??
Thanks & Regards
Alan

Sounds like a fishing expedition.
Don't take the bait.
Pace Forward is a trading name of Tessera Credit.0 -
Just to update.
Since the initial "Fishing" letter I have now received a letter from Rockwell saying they are acting on behalf of Arrow Global Limited regarding an unpaid debt of £5,311.91
I have never heard of Arrow Global, but the letter says original lender was NAG Europe Group, whom I have also never heard of.
I have never owed anyone that amount of money. It told me I had to pay in full within 10 days Otherwise they will take immediate action.
That Letter was dated 9th April and I have had around 20 phone calls since the letter (Not ade any contact with them yet as we have call screening due to number of annoying telesales phone calls).
Should I send them a "Prove it" letter, or leave the ball in their court. Like I said, i have never had any dealings with any of the companies mentioned and certainly not for that amount. Nor have I had any correspondence from any of them in the 10 years me and the Wife have lived together, in relation to any debt owed.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.0 -
I think a prove-it would be appropriate in this case.
Keep a record of everything you do and any phone calls you pick up. Send letters recorded. Keep everything they send you. This is starting to remind me of a similar case involving Lowell where they eventually ended up having to pay substantial compensation to their victim.
I can post further details if they continue their threats after the prove-it.
NAG is apparently Yorkshire Bank/Clydesdale.0 -
Nag Europe seems to be Yokshire Bank and Clydesdale Bank.
You seem to be getting unfairly harassed here, It's not a previous occupant's debt or anything is it?
I believe from other posts and other forums like legal beagles Rockwell are notorious for chasing unenforceable debts inflated by massive charges, and by the looks of it chasing the wrong people.
I would bet my right arm the prove it letter gets no proper reply from Rockwell.ISA £1675

Thanks for your quick reply. Everything I do will be in writing. Don't do anything over the phone, as there is no recordings as such, and at least via letters we have the copies of everything to hand.
Just off topic, when are they allowed to make phone calls, as we have been getting them at 20:30 and even 21:00. This is a big inconvenience to us as we have 2 young children in bed that get woke up by the phone calls. I thought all calls from companies had to stop from 8pm.
Thanks again.0 -

Thanks again.
In your letter include a paragraph saying you wish to discuss everything in writing and want all calls to cease as you're not willing to discuss the matter over the phone.
The OFT's advice on debt collection says companies must listen to people's reasonable requests of when, where and how to contact them.
If you get any more calls, complain, first to them and then to the OFT and FOS.What will your verse be?
