We have a couple of dozen video tapes we no longer want - ones we recorded tv on to.
What on earth can we do with them?! I'd hate to landfill them, but can't think of any other alternative.
Any of you clever people out there got any ideas?
Thanks!

You can make bird scarers for the veg patch out of unwound VHS tape. You can make rustly tassles by cutting several three foot lengths, bunching them together, folding the bunch in half and binding the folded end with another long strip into a tassle shape. Hand from a cane or bush and it will frighten off at least some birds. You can also stretch lengths of tape between two canes as humming tape, or use it as plant ties.Val.0

Try offering them on freecycle/freegle, I got rid of loads of ours on there, recordable and pre-recorded.Weight loss challenge 2/10lbs

There are potential health issues - have a look at this thread. I think I''ll be doing my recycling into craft stuff with something else instead.0 -
Thanks for all the replies - still not sure what to do due to the health risk, but at least I now have something to think about rather than mindlessly throwing them away.0
