Well I have 2 years, according to my best friend the snowball, to go until I am debt free. My diary is getting too big now so is being retired along with the other 2 and this will be a shiny new one to see me through until next May when I will start my final debt free diary :D. I'm absolutely determined and my goal by next May is to be sitting around the £8k mark and working hard towards everything being paid off once and for all . By that time my loan will be almost finished and it will only be the cards that are left.

My snowball debt is £14,636.94 today. My mortgage is £27,085.01 and my secured loan is £18,012.73 this is a total of £59, 734.68. That means in just under 18 months I have reduced my total debt by £8,064.93 :D. I'm well chuffed with that. Ok am off out but will be back later.

  • Back at last. Been a bit mad since I was here earlier. Went to Jenners looking for a dress for DD for her dance. We found one but at £180 she can whistle dixie :rotfl::eek:. DD did get an application form mind you for part time work.We then went and picked up my new glasses and I feel as if the world has been cleaned. I have only ever had reading glasses before but need them for driving, telly etc now and it is great :D. My reading ones are fab as well. I got the reading ones free through work and paid £133 for the other ones. I know I could have got cheaper ones BUT if you paid £100 you got sunglasses free so its all good. 3 pairs of specs for £133 :D. I'm delighted.

Then went and made my mum's dinner and went to ASDA for our weekly shop and spent £37 and £30 on petrol. I swear I am fuelling the whole street's cars just now and not just my wee peugeot :(. So I need to think of how I am going to manage to reach my 2 year DFD target. I'll report back later with my plans xx

Well done on your progress so far. I take it by now you are an old hand at the mystery shopping etc ways of earning extra money?
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

  • Not at all wiggles. The more the merrier.

Chev I don't do the mystery shopping etc as I already have a full time job, a small part time job and am primary carer for my Mum who is very sick and totally immobile. Oh and I am a single mum with an 18 yr old and 14 yr old :D. When I write it ll down I wonder how the heck I manage it all but then I look at my poor garden and my never tidy house and I know but hey ho I don't particularly want the clean house and lovely garden as that will be when my mum has left me and the kids are grown and gone so I'm happyish to put up with it for now.

So what has happened in MIT world today?? Hmm nothing much. Went to work at 7.15 and home by 4pm. Came in. Took down the washing and then thought S*d it and sat on my butt :D. DD is heading off to work, DS is heading up to my brothers as they are off camping this week, my brother is attending to my mum and tonight I am going to just chill and catch up a bit on here. I have the Inbetweeners film to watch so I will maybe do that later.

It is so cold here today and driving down the road Ben Lomond is yet again covered in snow !!!!!! it's May. Can someone please inform the weather that it's time to change the dial to HOT.

Only spent money on the kid's lunches today and am expecting the window cleaner so £9 in all. Wouldn't it be wonderful if every day was like that :).

So am off to make my dinner as still on the healthy eating wagon and actually quite enjoying it so I will prevail. Catch you all later xx

  • Well I just ate a £1 meal for one from Iceland and as I was blitzing it I thought 'this will be minging' but quele surprise it was lush. Sweet chilli chicken and rice. I hate ready meals normally but would definitely eat this again and all for the grand price of £1 :)

  • a wee cheeky £15 put into savings account to pay off overdraft. I now have £125 towards it. When I have the £550 I'll just pay it off and then transfer the things I get paid into that account into my main account and get it closed. Not too fussed on Santander tbh. Quite pleased at how much I have managed to put by since the beginning of the month though.Still have £136.48 to find by end of month though if I want to stay on track . Think I'll need to try and sell the body again ;). Probs get about £2.50 for it

  • NSD :money::D. I rarely get them so that is nice. DS has gone camping with my brother and the house is ultra quiet. He drives me nuts when he is here but I miss him already. He'll be back for about 5 mins on Monday and he'll be annoying me :rotfl:but hey I reckon that's just what 14 yr olds do. DD has friends coming up to get ready to go out later so no doubt it will be riotous later on. I will just spend a nice wee quiet night on the sofa with the telly and the old laptop. Jeez I know how to live. To e fair I have been invited out but it's for a meal and drinks so minimum spend would be about £40 and I just don't want to spend that this week.

I#m going to order DS a couple of hoodies for going away. They have nice ones in Top Man for £25 and they will last forever so I will get them ordered tonight and that's something else I can cross off my list.

I worked this morning and paid £15 to CC. I've kept £20 as it's my turn to drive this week so will probably need to top up the petrol at some point and DS;s lunches will need to be sorted out as well. Hopefully that'll cover it until mid week.

My poor wee mum is quite poorly today. I haven't been in to see her as my niece and sister-in-law are in but I am going in tomorrow for most of the day.

Going to watch the Voice although its not quite as good now. Have a good Saturday folks xx

Gosh you certainly do have a lot going on, but a wonderful attitude to go with it. Congratulations on getting as far as you have in the last 18 months. I will tag along for your ride if thats ok?
