most of boots suncreams are half price. they have kids spf 50 at £1.99 a bottle. hope this helps.

Be careful if you have sensitive skin. I bought boots own soltan kids sun cream and me and my daughter are all red blotches where the suncream was applied. Will be sticking with nivea baby suncream from now on.I believe in dragons, fairies, good men and other mythical creatures!

There was an article in the Daily Mail back in 2009 saying sunbathers could be putting their health at risk with protective creams that fail to offer what they claim. A Which? survey which tested 14 of the best-selling sun creams, claiming to offer a sun protection factor of 15 found that only five met its standards. One of the sun creams that met or got close to the promised protection include Boots apparently.

Sorry to bump. I know its bad weather now but the other week there was some hawaiin tropic suncream on clearance at £3 a bottle it is the protective sort.
I picked 2 bottles up and it went through at bogof. So £1.50 a bottle. It came up as good on a product test referred to on post 3 above. I used it the other week and it protected me very well I have fair skin. Only the bits I had missed had burnt but my shoulders etc which I had applied cream to were not even slightly pink. I was out for a long time as well and it was baking.Also it smells nice. Usually a lot more expensive. HTH:)wins so far: 6 mars balls. 5 mars dvds. make up. hair stuff. moisturiser. Vodkat cocktail kit. 2books. 2 peroni coasters. 3 peroni bottle openers. john smiths shirt.face mask. so diary. Sky+hd and sky world.:j Mascara0 -

I have seen this, (its 3 posts on a Forum about one batch of one particular Boots Soltan product being recalled 3 years ago.....) but I don't see the relevance to the offer Boots have now. :huh:0 -
Suncreams in Superdrug are also on offer.. half price and they also have loads in the clearance section. They are stopping selling the L'oreal suncream line as I think L'oreal are discontinuing it so it's in clearance for £3.99! That's all factors.. even the 50+ for sensitive skin.0

I was just about to ask whether other MSE-ers use up their leftover sun lotion from previous years, as I saw lots of Boots Soltan and Hawaiian Tropic bottles reduced in my local shop. I've heard that "they" (health experts I guess) say you should buy new bottles every year. I've got several half used bottles and feel it would be a waste to throw away - but at the same time, don't really want to pack them all in my suitcase!Sorry to bump. Is it better to buy on-sale sun lotion or buy it from duty-free Boots so that it doesn't get included in my suitcase weight? :think:0
