Hi
I am staying overnight in the Ramada Encore, Belfast on Wednesday evening and am enquiring if there are any good pubs with live music near by. I am a 50 year old man so not into discos and clubs. Also I am told that breakfast at the Ramada is very expensive-can anyone recoomenta decent cafe near by for breakfast?
Thank you

You could try The John Hewitt in Donegall Street. Nice bar, some live music and real ale. HTH0

You'll get a great breakfast at Isabeals in High Street for very little.0

Bright in High Street are very highly thought of for a fry. Possibly Mynt would not be your scene. If you are in High St, there is a tiny alley (Joys alley) between Spar and Bank (just before Brights) where ones from work had a good night with good food and music. Sorry I can't recall name but you can't miss it. Not just full of young ones.0

In your hotel there should be a copy of a publication called 'The Big List' - this gives details of all the live gigs taking place in Belfast each month. Nearby I would suggest The John Hewitt, The Duke of York or a little further away The Garrick.
Plenty of little cafe's near your hotel. Just walk towards High Street or Royal Avenue and you will find plenty there.Credit Card debt as of [STRIKE]Nov '16 - £12,052.89[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]Dec '16 - £10,853.97[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]Jan '17 - £10,671.97[/STRIKE], Feb '17 - £7,990.41

I would recommend this too, nice spot with the added benefit that it is a Not for Profit bar, as profits made go to a homeless charity in Belfast.
Alternatively there is Bert's Jazz bar, part of the Merchant hotel (Drink is expensive though).
For food, there is plenty of cafes in the city centre which would serve a nice fry.
Another good bar is Whites Tavern, its in Winecellar Entry, opposite Dunnes Stores.

Lots of proper little pubs are within 5 mins walk from your hotel. Get the receptionist to give you a wee map and mark The John Hewitt, The Garrick, The Morning Star, McCrackens, and Whites Tavern. All my kind of little cosy proper pubs with proper ale with a fire in the corner.0
