According to the Alsace wine wizard, which wine is the perfect accompaniment to a spicy Indian chicken dish?
answer: Pinot gris ?
I think this is it as it shows:Pinot gris is also grown in northern Italy, where it is known as pinot grigio. It is a perfect partner for Indian curries
Can someone confirm it please.
One winner will receive return economy train tickets or flights from the UK for two people to Alsace, two nights' accommodation in a three-star hotel based on two people sharing a double/twin room on a B&B basis, and dinner on both nights in a selected restaurant. The prize also includes a full day of visits to vineyards, including wine tastings. Travel to and from departures in the UK will be at the winner's expense. The winner is responsible for ensuring a valid passport is in place for the winner and companion. All dates concerning hotel accommodation and restaurant reservations are subject to availability at the time of booking. GNM accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with the prize and not specifically included in the prize. The holiday must be taken by 31 December 2012.
Only one entry per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.

Yes, it is Pinot Gris;
I followed the link from the competition site to the Alsace wine wizard at http://www.alsacewines.co.uk/home.aspx and used the tool on the left to select 'chicken-curry-indian-spicy'. It suggested Pinot Gris as the perfect accompaniment
