Link is here Black only, the blue is £184.99 I think

Had a quick search and couldn't see it posted elsewhere, this is cheapest price I can find lately. Hubby wants one, but im hoping it will drop to £140ish in the few months. Anyway thought id post this as its cheapest I can see on net recently

Never heard of the company but the reviews of it on google seem pretty good.

They also have the Kinect for £94.99, whereas amazon si currently 99.99 :)

Actually, games basement dont have a good opinion if you look carefully on this forum. My partner ordered a game in April, never received it, even though they said it was in stock when ordered after some time he phoned them up and they said it is out of stock, next phone call they said oh yes it was sent if not received give us a call, several phone calls later requested refund and now 3 months later still not had it. Now it had to be taken to the bank. Please be warned, they are not legitimate. Their ltd company is being struck off and they set up a new one. i dont know how many people have found themselves in similar situation but i know there are few around so my word of warning: stay away from gamesbasement!

They have a terrible reputation. I definitely wouldn't order from them.

Can anyone please let me know what the best option to go around them is? i dont want anyone else to be scammed by them again. Surely they cannot set up new companies and scam new people and then reopen new ones indefinitely?? is the CCJ against new company going to help?? doesnt seem like it. Surely there must be something we can do

I'm afraid to admit that I was sucked in by Gamesbasement's fantastic price on the 3DS.

What happened to me (and looking at other reviews everyone else) is that my money was taken immediately, even though the site says money is only taken once the item has been despatched. I did manage to get an email reply after I asked why my order had been at the packing stage for 3 days, promising it would be despatched within 48 hours. 4 days later it still hadn't been despatched.

I rang my credit card company to do a chargeback (there's no way of cancelling your order on their web site) and was told that they knew this company well and were always having to do chargebacks for their customers.

I ended up going to Gamestation. Traded in my DSi, got a free game (Lego Star Wars III) and Nintendogs for my daughter. I also had £23 of loyalty points and previous trade-ins, so ended up paying only £125. No hassle, no problem, got the 3DS straight away. wondered why I ever bothered trying to order through Gamesbasement.

The quicker this company is closed down and the owners locked up, the better as far as I'm concerned.

Faye - is there any way of changing the title of this thread, adding something like 'AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!' just in case anyone just sees the title and doesn't bother reading the thread?

    Thanks.
