Can anybody advise me please? Wonga Loan "late payment"
Took £265 loan out and then after a month + £135 = £400 without interest,, I lost my job and was away for about 2 months . I thought the loan would now be about £600 which is the absolute most I can afford,
I phoned them up and they said its £800 ., I explained my financial situation offered them £600 to take, they tried to get me to go on a payment plan but I cant because I have no income ,
What should I do ? Ive just told them that I cant make £800 payment today, and he said nothing they can do, the loan is still incuring chargers as we speak..
not sure what to do

It's no comfort I know but this is what happens when you take out a loan at 2,600% interest. You need to phone the Citizens Advice Bureau and see what they can offer.0

Cant you pay £600 of and then the balance over a payment plan? Can I find out my credit score? You do not have a single credit score or rating. Different organisations take different information into account when working out your credit score and may have different scores for different products. (Kindly from Experian)0

OP is still trapped at 2,600% interest.0 -
Pay the 600 if you can afford to and then immediately close your bank account and open another elsewhere as they will regularly check any account they have details of and help themselves to whatever money is there.0

Perhaps you should have accepted their offer of a payment plan. Presumably doing so would stop additional interest accruing.
You could have paid monthly instalments from the £600 you have, say £50 a month, and keep your fingers crossed that by the time that money runs out you're in a better financial position.0 -

Hi, that sort of business practice should be made un-lawful in my opinion, first of you need to clarify a few things with them.
ASK them for a copy of the original contract and your "Wet signature".
Stick with your offer, they cannot take you to a court if you have offered to supply remedy to their demands, You have made a very honerable offer but always add conditions to the offer such as stopping ALL interest being added to your account.
The Truth is in your heart

john.. original contract is no longer needed and also the "wet" signiture is no longer needed due to a recent court case..they can just send you one from the time you applied and that is ok now according to the courts..It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

I think what the OP means is they took a loan for £265 one month and the next month another £135, hence £400 total.Took £265 loan out and then after a month + £135 = £400 without interestloose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -
Why not borrow £200 from a non payday lender, then pay back the £800 in full ?0
