Sorry for late reply, i dont think there is a limit no. I didn't notice anything saying so and got 16 bags LOL.

I was going to get some of the sausages, but my mate pointed out that it works out cheaper to get them frozen (the plain ones) so i left it.

Enjoy your bolognese, cottage pie chillis and whatever you make with it! mmmmm
  • what does this stuff actually taste like? Artificial "meat" or is it OK to bulk out bolognaise sauce etc? Have heard it is low in fat

Lidl has also had the Quorn mince and chicken style pieces on for £1. Today is the last day of this offer (only just noticed).
Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!

I eat it regularly - it's a long time since I have eaten meat so a bit difficult for me to compare but generally speaking the mince has the texture of mince and the chicken style pieces are pretty much like chicken in texture. As for taste - if you ate any of these on their own they would be very bland however they are great at taking on the taste of sauces so for example Spag Bol with Quorn is excellent and a friend who eats meat told me that he prefers Quorn in Spag Bol, Chilli dishes and likes the chicken style dishes in curry.
Personally I agree with that and I also use them in Mexican type dishes.
It's low in fat and high in protein - give it a try as an add in or replacement for what you normally do.
