Hello Everyone:

I am embarking on a long road that will hopefully lead to a 2 stone weight loss, a good earner for a local charity and a completed 10k run, half marathon and full marathon by 2012.

Anyway, I am using a service called Runkeeper that combines a website that stores my running, with an iPhone app that tracks me on GPS and allows me to be coached around my route etc. It also runs my Playlists and tells me about the terrain on which I am running etc.

The app cost me £5.99 and is now (rather annoyingly :() being given out for free until the end of January to try to get people up and running.

Details can be found on the runkeeper site or via http://runkeeper.com/fitness-app-download

It really is a good app and service, have a look and see what you think, They have android and iPhone versions.

Happy running and have a great new year.:j

:T(Keep up the good work MSE!):T

Sounds good. Does anyone know if there's anything like this for BlackBerry?

I've an alternative recommendation for an always free app... Endomondo. You can download the app for a number of smartphones, including iPhone and Blackberry. The only "catch" is that you have to register on their website so as you can track your progress etc. - but then I think you have to do that with the app which our fellow moneysaver suggested!

Have a look at Adidas MiCoach... thats supposed to be very good but they (shockingly) don't support Android so I have never used it.
