Baskets For Hampers

Wondering if any of you could help me!!

My plan is to make hampers for presents for everyone this year, I have sorted out everything else but the baskets!

I have had a search but all I can seem to find is old threads!

Has anyone got any idea where I can buy some as cheap as possible?

They need to be fairly big for example one im doing is going to be a food hamper including an xmas cake!

If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated!

  • I don't know how big your budget is but argos do 3 very good quality wicker baskets for £10, I've bought them in the past and they are quite deep. Item number is 875/2817 if you're interested!
  • Wilkinsons have some and candigifts they are online or you could tried ebay.

    Ask on Freecycle :)

I did baskets a couple of years ago and got loads through there in all shapes and sizes. Some were a bit dirty or damaged, so I never used those, but loads were in mint condition and made lovely gifts.
  • Excellent thank you! I will put a wanted on freecycle now!

I realise this is probably a little late, but there may be some other people that it can help.

Asda's are selling their large Flexi-tubs for £3 a piece now. These are really quite large and will be useful for toy boxes/tool boxes/shoes etc after :)

Large enough for not-too-big dogs to fight over *rolleyes*

these were from Au Naturale which have since closed, but i've seem similar this week in pound stretcher

Home Bargains (if you have one near to you) have baskets in as do Instore and TK Maxx always have baskets in, I made my gran an afternoon tea hamper for her birthday a few months ago, and bought her a proper picnic basket to put bits in which she loved.
