NOT HAPPENING: New Xbox 360 slim 250gb HDD £139.99 @ Sainsburys instore on launch day

Have heard from a reliable source (Sainsburys management) that on launch day, sainsburys will be selling the xbox 360 elite slim for £139.99, the same price they are selling the old model at currently.

This will be the console only (no extra games)and will only be on for a limited time and only likely to be the opening weekend, but not confirmed exactly how long. Really need to talk my wife into letting me have one now!!

    Currently Slated for July 16th release in the UK - Would deffo be worth queueing up outside Sainsbury's for this if it is true.

    Should have more info tomorrow, staff will be finding out if the info is correct.

    £126 with staff discount & staff might be able to jump the queue as well!

    ooooooooooh! :o I've just walked into GAME today to pay off my trade-in pre-order, ha ha :D it's been paid onto a 'gift card' (trade-in card), i dont think i can refund that now but ah well... definately a top deal for anyone still looking if this is true!

    ahhh...yes, the queues! I remember queuing for my first ever XBOX - for 6 hours!! This certainly does sound like a great deal though.
    It's only rock 'n' roll, but I like it.

    A fiver bet says that by Christmas they'll have over-heating issues again.....
