    Thanks so much for this. My son is an avid reader and wants one of those e-reader things for Christmas. I was concerned about the cost of buying books to put on it, but this little lot should keep him occupied for a while!

    there is also http://gutenberg.net.au/greatest-books-a.html and http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page as well. hopefully these will help!

    It looks like the free books are out of copyright. Some good classics there though!

    There are many websites where you can download ebooks for free with a copyright like ebooks.com, makeuseof.com
