I'm pretty sure they still accept them.

I recently had one of the newer, card-style vouchers. I wanted to spend it in Waterstones (same parent company), but they only accept paper vouchers. I went to HMV and used the card to buy paper vouchers.

So at the very least, you can spend them in Waterstones.

If they have no expiry date on them, then legally, they can't reject them.

If there is no expiry date then you can use them. I recently used Waterstone paper vouchers in HMV with no problems
