Scrimp & Save and pay off as much as you can.
No easy answer I'm afraid0 -
Post your SOA (statement of affairs) and your budget. People on this board are masters of cutting it right back to the bone and saving you money where you never thought it would be possible.
There is no magic solution, it's pretty simple really - you either need to earn money to throw at your debt, or cut your spending even further to free up more money to put towards your debt.0 -
Sell things...keep shopping around for better buys/suppliers...keep tarting your cards if you can...definitely try to educate yourself into throwing away catalogues when they arrive...keep thinking before you buy....be as frugal as possible!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly

what's the account fee for? THey're usually charged for accounts with 'benefits' that nobody actually uses - call your bank and see if you can downgrade your account.
are your gas and elec the lowest providers possible? read martin's article about switching.
same with the call providers and broadband - check that you're using the lowest possible providers with the best rates.
This doesn't seem like a complete budget either - where's the food, things like that. You need to account for EVERYTHING in a budget or it just will not work. If you're not already doing so, start a spending diary - write down every single penny you spend, you'll soon find ways to cut back.0 -
maybe you could cut sky out completely until your debts are gone? £42 a month will make a big dent - plug it into the snowball calulator and see how many months it will shave off your debt for motivation.
look into buying a Freeview box - it's just a one-off payment that way, and you still get extra channels if you can't cope with just terrestrial tv!0 -
to be honest, if you've already made cutbacks, shaving a few more pennies or pounds off the budget isn't going to bring your debt-free date forward by a long way. (although it's definitely still worth doing, I think cancelling sky would make a decent dent!)
So you need to start thinking about the other side of the equation - earning more money to throw at your debts.
Can you sell things you own on ebay/loot/car boot sales? Do you have any hobbies that might turn into money-spinners? Arts and crafts that could be sold on ebay? My friend likes to paint, he's not talented in any way (maybe that's a bit mean, ha ha!) but he enjoys it, then sells the finished product on ebay - it's amazing what people will pay for his dabblings! Making jewellery is another good one. Take a second job in a supermarket, pub, gym reception, anything that will fit around your first job (or partners job if you're a stay-at-home mum). Could you take in ironing, sewing etc? Grow veges/flowers to sell. You need to be a bit creative, start thinking outside the square a little bit for some inspiration

I have just cancelled my sky today, and bought a £20 card from them which turns my box into a freeview box which saves on an aeriel installation. Admittedly the channel choice is not great but is ideal for the amount of TV i actually watch. At least the crap is free now and i am not paying £21 a month for it. The satisfying thing is I save £252 a year. I have set up a monthly payment into my ING savings for £21. That way I am not going to waste my new found savings.0

The NTL broadband/phone etc - if you're out of contract with them ring them and inform them you can get cheaper else where -you should find you'll get a nice sweetner to stay. And if not then at least downgrade to the £17.99 broadband. You'll find a whole thread on NTL and how to get it cheaper -looking the telephones and broadband catergories on here.0
