Nice find pjbltd. Thanks.

Just having a look at this now, some of it could be very useful and it seems interesting even when it is not so much.
Thanks for the heads up.

Haha, not much?
There's probably a semester's worth of Computer Science lectures there...
and you don't get to see some of the most influential Tech CEOs lecture every day (Carol Bartz in the Entrepreneur section)
Thanks a lot!

thanks so much pjbltd and platdujour, I absolutely LOVE the TED talks, the one entitled 'why do crack dealers stay with their mothers' is particularly funny, I liked David Deutsch's talk too. the open uni have been plugged through MSE before for their many free units, so just to remind folks

There are also some great free lecture series on iTunes U
The Stanford iOS programming series is particularly good (but make sure you get the latest Fall 2011 ones and not the 2010 ones!).

I would also highly recommend:
www.khanacademy.org
It has hundreds of fantastic videos on a host of subjects - maths, science, business, economics, humanities - presented in an easy to understand and down to earth style by an engaging tutor. This site won a top award from the Bill Gates Foundation for providing high quality, free educational resources online.

Lots of good quality lectures here from University of Newcastle's Public Lectures series. (Put www. on the front.)
ncl.ac.uk/events/public-lectures/archive.php
Some are audio only. Some are videos.
The NCL site says that these are also available via the iTunes U site.

Excellent. Maybe MSE should curate all the Free Lectures, Course Material out on the web.
Pity one has to pay out for Books etc at cheapest prices but that is the price of a a Good Self Education.
70/522 unread books 4/12 NSD
Wouldbe QUALITY MSE Challenge Queen.
Reading whatever books I want to the rescue!
