Decent mortgage lenders (we have a CCJ)

Not sure if best to ask this here or in the Mortgages forum, but here goes.
Our fixed rate mortgage is about to expire and unfortunately we have a CCJ now. I am struggling to find a lender who does not want to increase our mortgage payment by £200 a month.
Can anyone recommend a decent lender who will take on CCJers and offer a reasonable rate? Our problem is that our payment to our creditors through the CCCS is about £200 a month, so the mortgage going up by this amount will obviously cause us something of a problem!
It's so frustrating as we have done so well this year - we have been responsible in the way we have dealt with our creditors, stuck within our budgets etc. I am always moaning about egg on here, but if they had only accepted our offer through the CCCS originally we wouldn't have this problem now. You try your best to improve your position and deal with things in a responsible way and it seems the industry is just out to kick you when you're down.
Anyway, I should mention that Egg are getting a charging order on the property as well. We owe them 15k.
Any help much appreciated!!
Cheers

My sympathies. If you are on a DMP you credit rating is shot and you will only find sub prime lenders willing to lend to you. I think you are stuck with your current lenders SVR. I hope that will be an increase of less than £200.

Hi
I too have a ccj and i was loongon into re mortaging to basically reduce my monthly outgoings. I was unable to find any lenders who were prepaired to take a new mortgage on with me due to the ccj. Also i had been in arrears with my mortgage as well so that also prevented me. Have you got any arrears?
The situation i am in now is i am going to sell my property, which is something i dont want to do but due to my debts and monthly outgoing i cannot afford to live. At least when i do this i can clear all my debts and start again. In 5 years once the ccj has gone.
I hope you dont have to take the same action as i have. This is the most viable option for me at the moment.
As for lenders, because of my ccj i cannot even get a mobile on contract and all the lenders that i asked all came back with a No. What ever you do dont use the adverts on tv which mention about poor credit rating.
Hope you get things sorted****************************************

HI,
Why not try and ring up your current lender to discuss what your options are with them, they may be able to offer you another fixed deal. "If you dont ask, you dont know". Worth a try......
Good Luck

Thanks all. The best rate I am able to get appears to be that from my existing lender, GE Money (previously First National). They do a product which will give you a fixed rate for 3 years at 6.19%. They allow *one* CCJ of any value (ie it is effectively ignored).
Apparently they will also disregard CCJs entirely after a couple of years, rather than the 6 years it is actually on your record for.
I should point out that I had a terrible time trying to get someone to speak to me at GE - their internal systems are awful. Beggars can't be choosers though, I guess!0 -
Good luck, and as stated dont go with the adverts yoy see on sky.
Most of all please dont touch first plus.

BM Solutions is part of Birmingham Midshires/Halifax and they have lots of different schemes, but they will lend to people with CCJ's and their rates are not too bad. They also offer cash back and the whole remortgage process only takes about 4 weeks. http://www.bmsolutions.co.uk/
We remortgaged to them in the summer and have been more than happy with them. Might be worth a look.0
