Picture Finance and PPI
Hi all - first post
I had begun a claim against Picture for mis selling off PPI and had received letters back from them re-directing me to the FSCS, I contacted them and received the form to claim compensation, whilst reading this it began to dawn on me that there were questions asking when I realised the company had gone out of business. I didnt know they had so rang the FSCS to be told that Picture had gone into admin....so that was why I was entitled to claim with the FSCS
It made also think about how I stood with the 50% no claims that Picture offer on their insurance.... Do I still get that or do I become a creditor???
Hope someone can shed light

Hi,
I also got a letter saying my claim will have to be referred to the FSCS.
Has anyone else had this and have they had any luck with getting their money back?0 -
Hi there
Myself and another member here have received the FSCS forms this morning and have added this in the Reclaiming discussion posts.
You can always send a copy of the letter from the liquidator if you have this but I know the FSCS check these out.
I also think that the FSCS may check with the liquidators if we are entitled to anything from these or they make a claim against these.
If your unsure you will note there is an email address on the letter for FSCS, I'm sure they will be happy to help.
Although mine is not about Picture, the other member I have been talking to is about them and have posted up today on the site mentioned above.
When did you receive your forms ?
I have a feeling they send these in batches because they give until Feb 2009 to get them back to them, although I want to get this done with and posted by Monday if I can.;)

I too want to claim a mis sold PPI policy against Picture Finance. I realise Picture Finance appear to have gone down but I can not find an address to send my complaint letter to. Can anyone please give me the address to write to in the first instance? I am assuming Picture Financial is a different company? Thank you for any help in this matter.0

I am going to claim mis-sold PPi with Picture but I am having to hold off. I have recently re-mortgaged and borrowed extra £5000 from new mortgage company to pay off credit cards etc. Picture have recently sent me a letter saying that this extra money must be paid to them. They are also charging me £195.00 for Deed of Postponement because I am changing mortgage company. They are saying that because of the credit crunch any remortgage money must go straight to them. I have had three phone calls with them and they advised me that the best thing to do was to pay them off - in other words borrow more money and give it to them. They will not budge on wanting this £5000 and have threatened to demand the full amount if I don't agree. None of the terms and conditions state that this is the case and I have not had new t 7 C's since 'credit crunch'
At no time during these phone calls have they said that they are in liquidation and the letter I received said that only the trading name would change.
To stop them getting the money, I reduced the amount of the re-mortgage so that if they are lucky they will get about £40. I don't know whether to send the letter now or wait until re-morgage is in place - I'm scared they will demand the full outstanding amount. Suggestions?0 -
