Loans for bad credit with no broker fee
Hi all,
Does anybody know of any companies I could try for a loan of £5k? My credit rating's pretty crap but getting better and I've been turned down by most lenders you could probably think of. I've had loads of companies call me after a few searches but they all want nearly £50 to find me a loan. I can do that myself! But all searches seem to come up with are brokers or companies that then pass your details on to brokers. Anybody know of any actual loan companies that will lend money to people with poor credit?
Thanks in advance x

The only non-homeowner direct loan company I could find was Provident.
The interest rate is extortionate, and I would try your bank first, but here's the link anyway:

Have you thought of joining a Credit Union? - they are great places for those with a poor credit rating.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.

183% APR. Blimey, think I'll give them a miss.
Was looking at the credit union thing last night. Maybe I'll give that a whirl.
Thanks Lin x0 -
I've belonged to one since I was at work with a council that started one - they are very good.
Fair rates and easy to do.

Hi All...
Had a nightmare few years, but trying to get that all behind me now.... was trying to keep a home on my own... (will not go into the sob story now though lol)
Now... heres my question.... I was offered a loan by a finance company I cannot remember the name of, they have offices in many high streets and are now owned by HSBC, anyway, took the money, got into problems, stopped paying (was just about able to cover the mortgage at the time) and was taken to court and had a CCJ awarded against me... That was the end, never heard a word, and they have never tried to recover the money.
Now, I appreciate that they could at any time, but that is not my question, my question is, I was told by the person that arranged my mortgage recently that that CCJs are wiped after 6 years... is this the case, or will a record still be retained? If they are wiped... will be great as I will finally be able to get my life back on track!0 -
I know defaults are definitely wiped after 6 years and I think it's the same with CCJs. Not 100% sure though0
