It seems to me that paying someone £7.10 an hour is illegal, but paying them nothing is perfectly OK - you just have to call them "interns".0

A system issue meant they accidentally underpaid people by under £1 per month, and all employees have had the shortfall made up since. And yet they are being touted as 'prominent offenders' in a story where other businesses are breaking the law and deliberately taking advantage of people desperate for a job. Cr a ppy, lazy, click bait journalism. And for once, it's not just MSE and Daily Mail; even the BBC coverage on the matter has focussed on this non-issue aspect to it.0
