Dro

Does anyone know if I could drop my contracted hours at work in order to qualify for a DRO?
I have a toddler so could justify this with childcare?
Really struggling with £ and dare to do bankruptcy in case I get thrown out of my private rental.
Thank you x

You can do whatever you feel is nessessary to qualify.

I've just been reading it can be revoked if they feel your financial situation is your fault?
Although losing £90 is better than £680 if I went BR

Ok so I've just worked out, on stepchanges website that I'd qualify at the moment on my basic salary (I have been doing extra shifts to pay for my debts but this is now making me even more stressed being away from my child:single parent). Obviously if I applied my current payslips include my overtime would they reject my claim does anyone know?

And does anyone know if they inform landlords?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

There is no great inquisition about your job or anything else, your budget is your budget, as long as you have £50 or less after all essential bills, you will be ok, your intermediary will just forward the application, and as long as they have done there job right, it will be accepted without question.

What they don't like is if you've treated one creditor better than another by paying them more, or have offloaded assets prior to applying.

There are no checks on what you tell them, so just be honest, and it will go through no problem.

Sorry again for all the questions!
So on the SOA - it has sections for things such as presents, hair etc, groceries - what if I've used catalogues or credit cards for some of these - they obviously wouldn't show on my bank statement - would they assume I was over exaggerating my budget?

You do your budget on what you spend, where you have spent that money in the past is irrelevant, your intermediary will just round up the figures to certain categories, they won't be itemised.

What you spend, you spend, let me reiterate, it will not be questioned by anyone, just work your budget to show less than the £50 left, there are no checks on it at all.
