If you had training in your previous role at a similar wage then I can understand why you are a bit peeved at the lack of training in your current role. But still, 50k?! For the majority of people there would be an expectation of hitting the ground running for that sort of wage! That's serious money right there... Mind you, maybe you are from London which sort of dilutes it a bit?

If you couldn't hack your previous job, and you can't hack your current job, then are you really at the 50k level?

You've been given two more chances at a 50k job than many intelligent, passionate and well-rounded people in the world...

For those talking about initiative, I have taken that on board and started forcing things through myself in regards to training and finding out stuff. That was not really the biggest problem though. Since I have started, I have organised meetings with some large business organisation and got moving on other stuff as well.

Finally!

The main issue is that I think it is important, regardless of your experience, for you to know the companies workings. What you can offer, what you can't etc. Especially for me as I am in a new role (for the company), not from the industry and supposed to be partnering with my boss in getting this side of business development up and running. As I have done, I can hit the ground running and get a bunch of meetings in, but if you want them to be efficient, you need to be with me on at least the first one.

Then stop complaining and get on with it...

Or hand in your notice without another job lined up and swan into another high paid job.

At the 50k level it rightfully should be 'sink or swim' and I'm glad that you are learning this. People learn that at a much lower level.
