the dining room table is like the tide, the water goes out and its cleared, then the tide turns and its all back.

Every time OH comes home the scene of devastation has got worse - at the mo it has a box of my boots which are en route to the charity shop, 2 charity shop boxes with bric a brac not quite full, a large Renault lorry which Ive no idea what to do with, huge basket of waste paper for recycling, large pile of Tesco mags that need de - couponing and putting into the basket and a bag with some food bank items in and piles if books en route to the oxfam book bank.
It all has to be cleared before the weekend ...

    Think yourself lucky.

My OH is self employed, there is various phones, PCBs and other things, including a platform, down the side of the dining table, which means that it is unusable. On top of the table is various paperwork, and breakable items. I have struggled to find space to put my marzipanned cake to dry.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
