I am one of 5 (4 boys), my mum never had much luck hiding her biscuits :rotfl:

I know my biscuit stashing days are limited as the oldest Gnomeboy is only 1cm shorter than me so sticking them on a high shelf in the cupboard isn't going to work for much longer :rotfl:

My lot can always sniff out any goodies - my DD doesn't even live at home but she is straight into the fridge and checking out the cupboards when she visits.

You mean it doesn't stop when they leave home :eek:
I'm going to wait until they get their own place then go around and start rooting through their fridge complaining that I am starving, that'll teach them...;)

I've just read all of your thread and am so impressed by your accomplishments and methodical approach.
I've just giggled at your last post as I dream of the same thing - I have two boys of 17 and 12 who seem to have radar senses for anything chocolate, crisp-related or otherwise desirable.

DD doesn't buy any goodies because she is always on a diet. Apparently goodies taken from your parents fridge contain zero calories ...

I keep threatening to go to her surprisingly tidy house and dump damp towels on her bedroom floor and wipe mascara over the pillowcases to pay her back for all the times she did that at home !

Welcome. My have the same radar senses, I should hide it under some broccoli or cabbage in the fridge. They won't look there. ;)

I work fairly long hours so I have to be methodical otherwise I find the wheels start coming off and I end up in a muddle.

I have to agree it doesn't end when they leave home! What a great memory the event will be for the gnomeboys too.

    Good morning everyone, Happy Monday.

Not a bad weekend. I spent a bit on food and did have a coffee out but apart from that -no spending.

Unblocked a dormant account I had with Ll0yds then I didn't know about. I think it might have been an old T$B account which got taken over by Ll0yds when they merged. Total of £1.06:D. I used the BBA lost bank account checker and found two old accounts with a total of about £45 in them. Will decide what to do with this once the paperwork comes through. I just proved my identity and address at the branch so they would take the dormant code off.

I bought some dumpling/gyoza wrappers and made 12 prawn, cabbage, spring onion and ginger dumplings and 18 veg and tofu ones (half of them eaten and the rest frozen). I love dim sum and gyoza but they are expensive to buy and easy to make. The veg ones could do with a bit more oomph so I would add more spice next time. I will serve them in a spicy soup or sauce to pep them up.

I used the other half of the prawns to make prawn fritters / cakes on Sunday. I wasn't sure if the Gnomeboys would like them but their only complaint was that there weren't enough of them.:j They are really easy so I'm making them again.

We planted some veg and flower seeds last weekend, a bit later than ideal but we were away on holiday for 10 days in April and I didn't want to plant them then go away and leave them to dry out.
    Tally so far
    Sweetcorn x8
    Cucumber x6
    San Marzano plum tomatoes x5
    Cherry tomatoes x3
Sweet Peas x20 (growing scarily fast)
    Dahlia x8
    Cosmos x 5
    Salvia x5
Mystery unlabelled (either petunias or foxgloves) loads of very small plants

In the garden (and still alive)
    Salad leaves
    Chard
    Mint
Beetroot (need to plant a second row for continuous cropping)
    Strawberries
    Figs
    Blueberry
    Raspberries
4 x tomatoes bought at car boot yesterday

Waiting for Carrot seeds to grow
Not expecting a crop from Apple & Pear as too young nor Olive tree as I don't think our season is long enough.
