Afternoon all,
OH's cheque came for his injuries from the crash, yay, I've taken it to the bank already
Once it's cleared I will pay off my phone (from my very account), put some away for our trip to the lakes in Nov and Christmas, get paint and things for the house, then anything left will go off more debt
Just paying off the phone frees up £55 a month to pay towards something else xxDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

Had an email from edf (my gas and electric supplier) saying they have a cheaper tariff for me, so I checked it out, and the new tariff will save us £225 a year ish, and my DD is reducing from £125 to £102 yay
The price is frozen on it till November 2016 with no exit fees.
I have been with them three years now, and I really like them, they are the only company I have been with who tell you when they have a cheaper tariff for you, and it's all so easy to read and understand as well xxDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

Great news about the tariff and the claim, so nice to have a bit extra in the kitty each month!!
Have you got back to the surveys? I still keep trying OW and every time it's for charity...so annoying, I haven't even made a £2.50 voucher yet! Do you do the YouGov ones too?

No I haven't, I'm gonna force myself to do some today while I wait for my shopping to come, could kick myself really cos I would have made about £10 in the week that I haven't been doing them! That totally sucks that they aren't offering you good ones it would be better if they were more even with all the people that do them. No I've not done any you gov ones, are they good? Ohh no I haven't tried them either, I will have a look
AWESOME NEWS!!!! After my credit report updated showing that I had paid off two cards (via BT they are in OH's name) I did the CC eligibility checker on here and two cards came up with high chance of being accepted, so I applied AND I'VE BEEN ACCEPTED FOR TWO 0% BT CARDS woooooo hoooooo
I can transfer all of one card, and most of another one, so that leaves 2 CC's and a little bit of the third one left on rubbish APR's and 2 overdrafts on rubbish APR's!!!! a far cry from the 14 accounts we had at the start which were all on rubbish APR's
So now I need to request the 2 CC's we are going to transfer cos they need the expiry dates to do the BT.

Evening all.
I requested a BT to my b'card on the 18th Sept and to OH's, I logged into them both this morning and OH's has gone through but mine has vanished! So as it was 6am I sent them a message rather than ringing them (I had to get ready for work lol) I got a reply when I was on my way home, basically asking me to call their fraud deparment. So I rang and they had blocked it in case it wasn't me asking for the BT, great that you care, but !!!!!! why didn't they ring me!!!! Anyhoo I got it unblocked and it should be showing tomorrow she said.
Need to get OH to ring M&S for a replacement card as that is the one we are going to transfer to my two new cards.
Got £10 for my first shop and scan woo hoo
So I now have £48.50 in amazon vouchers towards the family christmas present woo hoo xxDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

Morning all, been playing with the figures on my spreadsheet lol, and I've worked out the minimum payments and balances on all the cards once all the BT's have gone through, and re done the snowball calc.
If we overpay by £120 a month (which according to my spreadsheet we should be able to do) then our DFD has gone from............
Dec 2021 to ............ May 2020 wooo hooooo, we've shaved 19 months off it!
Hoping it will be less than that even as the further we get through the journey the more debt we can move to 0% xxDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)

Well done, that's fantastic! I reckon you could achieve your goal in 2019.
If you then start to overpay the mortgage by the same amount you will probably shave 5 years off that too and save a shedload of interest.
Onwards and upwards!
