Hope someone can advise me here please?

I need to open a basic bank acc while I'm considering a DMP.
Barclays seem to be one of the recommended ones but I already have a debt with Barclays that I will need to include in the DMP.

The alternative is Co-Op but theres no branch near me.

Any ideas where I could look to next?

Thanks as usual

I think StepChange have an agreement with Barclays where the bank will open a basic account up for a client going on to a DMP, removing the ROSO in the process.

If you don't want to bank with them, you have the choice of HSBC, Lloyds, TSB, Santander, Natwest, RBS, etc etc.

Just make sure it is a BASIC account, as opposed to a current account.

Coop is a good choice, as you get a visa debt card, most of the other basic accounts just give you a cash card.
You don't need to live near a branch, as everything can be done online, except the initial ID check, there are branches in most major cities/towns, you could just make a special trip to your nearest one for this purpose.

Lloyds? Can open a Cash Account online, even if there is no branch near.
