OH wants to train as book keeper?

Any advice on how long it might take or where to get (free) training etc?

    3 years plus, contact you local college or pick up a prospectus from you local library, it also depends whether he wants to go to college full time or part time.

    he probably wont get it free unless he is sponsered through work or on benefits, you could also look to see if your local college has a website and email them for information :)

    I am a book keeper. I trained approx 8 years ago. I did an open learning course at my local Tresham Institute, this is basically a correspondence course. I did it over a year and sat an exam and passed with flying colours. I am currently doing correspondence courses with the National Extension College. I don't have to pay my fees all in one go, I spread them over 8 months. I can contact my tutors by phone, email or letter if I wish. There are other companies out there that offer similar courses and they are roughly all the same price. My courses are going really well at the moment, I am doing GCSE History and Law, strange for a book keeper I know but I am really enjoying them and there is no pressure at all.
