New house, new life!

Hello all!

Starting a diary as I am a MFW and want to track my progress.

We bought our first home in 2014 but after having our first baby we are in the process of moving closer to grandparents. With our new house comes a bigger mortgage and will be owing £144,000 (eek!) and got it over 25 years. Hoping to shave many years off this so we can start living our lives mortgage free!

No overpayments as of yet as we are still waiting to complete on the property but I am already excel mad and love using the calculators to see how much an overpayment will affect the mortgage. Fingers crossed as a family we can achieve our goal for the mortgage to be paid off at least by 2032. It sounds so far away but aiming to get to MF sooner than that.
