Posh dessert ideas

We are having lunch with friends after Christmas.

I will be making dessert and am stuck for ideas

Rules for this dessert:

1 Have promised it will be chocolate
2 She doesn't like nuts
3 He is allergic to honey
4 One of us hates coffee

I want it to be posh but not needing the skills of Masterchef

I have thought about chocolate pannacotta with an orange sauce or chocolate cheesecake

Anyone got other suggestions? I don't want cake as she is the queen of cakes and I couldn't compete:D

I have made this - it's a flourless sponge and looks sooo rich but actually isn't.

For the link, she has changed the shape as normally it's a log type shape but does break at the edges but it was supposed to when you "roll" it up.

Poached pear and chocolate brownie tart this has become a favourite in my circle of friends/family.
You can do all the work, starting with all the basic ingredients or take various short cuts - tinned pears instead of poaching your own, ready to roll pastry or ready made pastry case(s). Can't find the recipie I use online but various others are available.
