Bought eggs in Lidl a few days ago. 10 large eggs were 79p (7.9p each). However, their pack of 15 medium eggs have a shelf -price £1.19 ( also 7.9p each). So now I can enjoy the luxury of a large boiled egg for breakfast knowing that it's the same price as a medium.

I'd be more upset if I'd bought medium and found large were the same price......

I have seen people in supermarkets opening a box of large eggs and mixed size. Swapped the smaller eggs in the latter to the large eggs. Then place the mixed size box into their trolley. This sly tactic saves them around 35-45p per half dozen

That's stealing! Did you not challenge them or grass them up?

My eggs always seems to be quite variable in size - maybe this is what's happened to them?!
I suppose I shouldn't put them all in one basket though...
