this my dilemma

I have £32.000 of old debt which has been with three different debt collection agencies since 1991. I now have £25.000 and ideally I would like to clear all my debt. Has anybody done this before and give me some advice how to negotiate with these agencies. I am not paying any interest but it is important to me to tidy up my credit rating.
Please help.

    Have you read Martin's article? That's the best starting point, then you can decide which free debt help agency you might want to use, and also get help on here if you want. If you want to do it yourself they will be able to advise, help, negotiate (details in M's article).

    Have a read of this thread and the relevant National Debtline help page thats given. As Martin says: “never borrow more to get out of a debt problem.” Your debts are already at 0% so I hope your £25,000 is also at 0%, otherwise its actually costing you more....
