Old loans - no paperwork

Options
Hi,
New to this site - looking for advice. My husband recently passed away. He dealt with all our finances (not very well in some cases!!) I know we had a car from Yes Car Credit and some loans with Welcome Finance. I do not have any paperwork (don't know where to start looking if we did) how do I go about this. I know the car credit loan had PPI and we were told it was compulsory - but is that just their word against mine?
Thanks in advance.
Sue

If the car loan PPI was taken out prior to January 2005, then it is pre-regulation and the lender can therefore refuse to even consider your complaint.

Otherwise, you'll have to write to the institutions concerned and ask if they have kept any record of your finance. If they have none and you can't provide any yourself then you are wasting your time with this...
