What is the general opinions about investing in these?

I have little IT experience (work on computers all day, but not in technical way) so I know I will be limited what I can do however is it possible to just buy coins and watch them grow in value.

I trust some peeps on here will blow me down completely and say I’m stupid but could somebody give a simple break down to why my idea is floored?
