Will the CSA back pay me (dad)

Options
hi i'm on the old system csa and pay for 1child £260 a month. i have only just realised you get a discount if you have other children living with you which i do 3! which says i would get a discount of 25% my question is would this be back dated as my eldest is 9? i'm sure if it was the other way around the would want it back dated. my only worry is they would want to see all wage slips of the last 9 years and take on to account overtime etc i haven't had a pay increase of more then 5%. thanking you in advance for any advice

I doubt they will backdate it as it's up to you to claim it.

Contact them and inform them of the change to see what they say.

They are unlikely to want pay slips from that long ago.

    No they won't.

It's the same for either parent.

They change it from when it is reported.

You need to notify them that you have three children living with you. It will not reduce your payment by 25% it will reduce your assessable income by 25% but they will only change the assessment from the date that you notify them.
