I don't like how these new RailCards are being released as digital only. It's not fair to those to don't have smart phones or don't want to use apps for everything or people with accessibility issues which would make using their phone really difficult. There should be a choice of physical card and digital card, and we should choose. Far more things to go wrong with digital what with it being on a phone, running out of battery, losing it or it being stolen etc. It's not a RailCard if there is no card.0

I was speaking in more broader terms with all railcards. Not everyone uses apps for everything contrary to belief.0

Now the children have to stay in full time education until they are 18 why is it correct that 16 years are considered as adults for travel by railway. I currently pay £1,036 pa for my daughter as a child 15 year to travel to school by train but when she turns 16 it doubles to adults rates! How is that fair? Who can afford to pay £12 per day to get your child to 6th form with no additional financial assistance? To be honest I don't care if the 16-18 railcard is digital or not as long as it is recognised that it is needed especially in peak times!0

Really pleased to hear this news. I've got a child who'll start sixth form next year and wants to study further away from where we live. Had wondered how we were going to finance it0
