I wish Manchester Fares only rose 1% at a time, I don't think Londoner's realise how fortunate they are with their protected status.

    Hmmmmm.....

A weekly County Card which gives travel on-
"Any bus & any train anywhere in Greater Manchester, anytime to 4am, any day of the week including Bank Holidays" costs £35.20

The equivalent in London a weekly 1-6 zone Travelcard would cost £58.60

    or £23.40 MORE each week.

Add on the general cost of living in London and I think you need to stop whinging and open your eyes.
  • Perhaps no increase would be necessary if they cut their wasteful advertising campaigns on LBC and elsewhere. I'm fed up of hearing about what they are doing for me and that "every journey matters" etc.

By all means dish out travel information (which alot of media relay free of charge anyway), but no more propaganda please.

Hardly fortunate, London is the second most expensive city in the world for public transport.

This is the smallest increase we've had since I moved to London. Since 2008 the price of a single bus journey has increased 50% - from £1 to £1.50

I think we've been lucky this year to not get much of an increase.

We do pay a lot for transport anyway. My zone 1-3 weekly travelcard/cap on contactless is about £35 (or so) or £144 for monthly travelcard.
