it's worth absolutely zero financially...the forum is about money saving not frivolous 'what me and the wifey did last night and the nonsense that came into my head'. You do appear to have lost the plot Mr Lewis. The lack of interest in your Scrabble obsession speaks volumes.

In fairness to Martin, at the top of his blog he says:

"Hi, welcome to my blog. It's less about MoneySaving, the rest of the site and weekly email do that... "

Martin - do you have stats on number of bingos per game? As a once a year Scrabble player I've never had one!

According to the blog itself, "It's less about MoneySaving... It's just a place to muse on life, money, being in the media and more". On that basis it's a perfectly valid entry.

Obviously equally, on that basis, people can avoid it if they are only interested in the MoneySaving articles.

The number of games where the blanks have been shared strikes me as quite high. Wouldn't you expect it to be closer to 50%?
Or is there a reason why one blank each is more likely than an uneven split?

60% after 250 games...close enough that's variance for you give it a few more thousand games and it'll converge on 50%.

Though the sample size is high for your games in terms of number of games, this is still a sample of just 2 players always playing each other. A more general estimate of the value of blank tiles would need far more players to be involved playing more combinations of players.
