I'm under 55 so was interested in Will Aid. However, it's unclear whether the donation amount is set at £90/£135. Can you donate any amount?

Hi debjay,

There's no set fee for having a will written under this scheme, but Will Aid hopes you'll make a donation of around £90 for a single will (£135 for a couple). You can however choose to donate more or less than these figures.

What happens in the case of wanting mirror wills where only one of us is 55 or older?

Hi, I've just called a local solicitor on the Will Aid register and they have advised that they won't accept a donation below £90 (my mum can't afford £90) whereas when I used it for my will 2 years ago the solicitors didn't have a set fee (I'm not over 55). Not sure if this is specific to that particular firm, I'll try one a bit further away from home.
