Take comfort from the fact that we are all in it together. For example our pain is shared by MP's who can claim back against their purchases, in effect making them immune from the effects of inflation.We are all in it together *

Every week my food shop seems to cost more. The rising costs of basics, my nearest Tesco store no longer stocking several everyday value products that I used to buy weekly, smaller pack sizes, good offers going out of stock pretty quickly, more shoppers scrabbling for reduced goods has all resulted in worrying times for our already tight food budget!GC2012: Nov £130.52/£125

I'm munching on sweet corn, 5 for £1 from the Burnt Oak high street, North London. Five years ago I could have got 7 for £1.
Still better than TESCO, which is 2 for £1 when it claims half price.
