There's a piece been running on this on Sky News all morning. Interspersed in the ad breaks by adverts for Payday loans. Couldn't create better irony if I tried."A nation of plenty so concerned with gain" - Isley Brothers - Harvest for the World0

How would an Internet application know if the applicant was drunk at the time?
I booked a weekend in Rome when I was drunk... still went (but not dressed as Spartacus as I intended when booking).0 -

Money lenders are blood sucking vampires.
How did they apply for the licenses?
"I promise not to drink too much blood"?0 -
Considering most of them are tory sponsors...I cannot see change anytime soon...maybe the USA route should be applied, thats why they came here , as they are heavily regulated in America http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Payday_loans_in_the_United_States“When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.” Socrates

I agree - I have a mental health condition, classed as severe and long term. I have a mortgage, which I pay on time every month, and have been overdrawn once in my life. I have two credit cards which I pay off each month - I use them to collect airmiles. If some people had their way I would not be deemed fit to have credit, despite the fact I manage my affairs far better than many who are fit and healthy!

I remember the thread on here about some guy wanting to put in a claim for a mis-sold loan under the pretense he was drunk when he filled out the application form, he spent all the money and tried to blame the bank.
