Any tips with dealing with Yodel?

I was expecting a delivery from Amazon who for reasons unknown have selected Yodel as the courier.
As a result they have not delivered my item. I was home all day yesterday as I was unwell, no TV, no radio just me and the silence and a book I occasionally picked up until I left for a short walk and some air later on in the evening.
During the time I was at home, Yodel apparently attempted delivery twice. At 1:40 and at 9:30pm. I was in, no one attempted delivery.
I have no card, don't know how to contact them (the website seems to require I have a special code written on the card they were supposed to have left me) so I have no way to get hold if them or my item.
Just the last thing I need right now as I'm not feeling 100% and don't have the energy to deal with this! I need the delivery though- any tips on how I get it?

The Twitter team @YodelOnline are very helpful; they too sometimes struggle but they will contact the depot for you and chase it up. It's worth joining Twitter purely for their cheerful assistance. They have helped me out twice so far - I'd be bald with frustration without them.
If you're not a "twit" already, sign up and post a message starting with @YodelOnline (but without any personal details; at this stage it's public) outlining your problem, and someone will contact you asking you to follow them so you can exchange private messages.
I don't use Twitter much - mostly I approach it as a read-only medium - but for customer service purposes it's a godsend.

I would agree about the Twitter team. The only thing that annoys me is they pester you to post something good about them. I don't want to be seen to praising Yodel because I personally think they are the worst company in existence. I sometimes post something good about the twitter team but say something bad about Yodel as a whole as then they can't retweet it.0

The last couple of times I have had something delivered by Yodel I have received an email with a tracking number to say the parcel was out for delivery, then another email when delivered (if left in a safe place).
Strangely, last time it said it would be any time up until 9pm so shortly after it hadn't arrived so I checked online and it said delivered at 8pm.
The email had the mobile number of the delivery man so my OH called him, and he said he finished work at 4pm everyday and hadn't even tried to deliver it!
Maybe the same has happened here with you.0
