Chewing gum in my carpet.

Yuck yuck yuck.

Someone has tramped in some chewing gum on their shoes presumably and left it on our horrid carpet. It's very dirty and yucky and ground in.

I tried the bissel carpet cleaner but it don't budge..:o

What else can I try?

If there is a bit of stickiness after the ice cubes (or bag of peas) eucalyptus oil gets it off.

Yup ice cubes are the way to go ,having had 7 gorgeous grandchildren who at various times either 'walked it in on their shoes'I have found that ice is brilliant to get chewing gum of almost anything.I'm afraid if I'd have my way it would be banned as I can't abide it or to see folk chewing on it

If you have any sticky residue left WD40 will shift the last of it.

Ice cubes worked on my DD`s hair years ago - she was chewing with her mouth open, her hair blew into her mouth and the daftie kept on chewing!
