No wonder HBOS cannot afford to write of mortgage shortfalls which have a arisen from their willful neglect of risk management and greed driven manipulation of the property market. Avarice has no doubt dictated efficient administration is a long way down the priority list and HBOS victims continue to pay the price with their homes, their livelihoods and in some cases, their lives. This has clearly left HBOS free to throw away taxpayers money way 20 million pounds at a time. For nearly two years I have been writing my Lifeafterdebt blog about my personal battle with the banks and their regulators in an effort to expose HBOS's and Lloyds ruthless attitude towards their victims.
