A silent clock?

in I wanna buy it or do it
I need to get new clock for the living room, but it has to be a silent one, can anyone recommend one please?
Also I have to be able to see it, I find I struggle with the digital ones as they don't seem to show up very well.

    Seiko are fairly silent clocks. I've not actually seen any living room type clocks up close though I do know of a couple of people who have alarm clocks which are nice and quiet alright.

    Not all the clocks there are quiet, the one on the wall above me has a LOUD tick. The ones with a sweep second hand will be silent. A long hunt for a quiet analogue alarm clock ended with a nice Seiko sweep second hand model.
