DH has a job!!! But when can he start?

DH has been out of work for 10 months and at 30 doesnt really have any skills to speak of but has just landed a job with G4S Security. They will train him and everything! There sending him on a course on the 31st fully paid.
I was just wondering, does anyone know after that when he could start? It all depends on him passes I know but say he does? Thing is we have holiday booked 11-18/9 so a start date after that would be perfect. The results need to be sent to the government for him to get his SIA licence which takes time. I thought 3 weeks? Any ideas would be fab

For my DH, he started his employment with G4S the day he started the training course. That was 1 week, then he started on the following Monday on the branch.
The training courses run at certain times, so it may not work around your holiday unfortunately.
By coincidence, my DH started his training course on the Tuesday after Bank Holiday Monday in August (but a few years ago). That must be one of their set weeks they run it!0 -
Thanks honeypop. Given that info he's gonna have to call and say he has holiday pre-booked so would need 1 week off 1 week after he started.
Bit of a sod, I had hoped to avoid doing that if he had to wait a few weeks to start but I didnt anticipate him being unemployed when I booked it all, never mind getting a job just before.The will to save every money saving penny we can0
